I'm From North Idaho, What The Hell Is A "Clubbing Dress"?

SO.
This is kind of weird considering I truly did not know how to go about this situation.
This post is for all those girls out there who have no idea what the hell a clubbing dress is - and don't really know how to go about buying one.

I went to Las Vegas back in June for a Bachelorette party. I was ready. I had never been to Vegas and it was truly one of the best times of my life. So carefree and so liberating but EXPENSIVE! (Shots were $17 a piece!) Anyway, it was seriously so fun and I highly recommend everyone to go to Vegas.
Back to the real story...
What the HELL is a clubbing dress?

These right here are "clubbing dresses". Let me be clear - Over my dead body.
So. That's what all the girls in Vegas were wearing. I felt slightly overwhelmed and I felt a little out of the loop - and to be honest, I felt a little dated. I'm 22! I should be living in my youth. But that just wasn't me. So I skipped on those dresses.
I mean, work with what ya got. I'm all about girl empowerment and hell yeah to those girls who have a kick ass body and can rock those. Me, on the other hand... I'm about as shy as can be. I don't feel comfortable unless I can lay down and sleep in the clothes I'm wearing right then and there. And let me tell you, ya girl could never sleep in those dresses.
Back to the story of my search for a perfect "club dress"...
My closet is broken. That's how many clothes I have (I think I have a problem, but that's not what we're talking about today). I have clothes for fall, winter, spring, summer, and those two annoying times of the year where you're cold in the morning and sweltering in the afternoon.
But what I didn't realize is that I don't have a clubbing dress.

What is a clubbing dress? I don't personally like wearing anything too skimpy or short - so this was a hard task for me. And, it's not like we have a ton of nightclubs where you need to wear these dresses.
Thankfully my friends and I aren't huge clubbers but I needed SOMETHING! So... I started to look. I needed something short"er" because that's just how Vegas is. But I didn't want something I would feel uncomfortable in all night. So, I started to look.
I found a few dresses that were in my budget. I strayed from Ross, TJMaxx and other discounted retail stores. Don't get me wrong, I live for TJMaxx but I knew these places wouldn't have what I wanted because more than likely the clothes were the items that haven't sold in their stores and shipped to discounted places. I stayed mostly at online stores and in-store boutiques.
It's important to remember:
1. Don't break your budget for a clubbing dress! Buy a dress that's cute enough to get into the club but you'll be able to wear it again!
2. Get something you're going to be comfortable in. Don't buy a dress that you're going to constantly keep pulling or tugging at all night (Nothing is more annoying! Take it from someone who KNOWS!)
3. Buy a dress you're going to like taking pictures in! Don't be that girl who can only take photos from your left side. We all have "sides" but don't let the dress further inhibit you to not feel comfortable in your own skin!
