We've all been there...

You're on Pinterest. You see the cutest outfit and suddenly...

You have Pinterest-Inspo!

It happens to the best of us.

So, how can you make this outfit on a budget? It seems nearly impossible - your old dingy clothes can't possible look that good!

While your clothing options may not look exactly like the photo, it's not impossible to create.

Never fear though! Your style and wallet will thank you in the long run!

It's hard to scroll through Pinterest and see these beautiful models with the perfect clothing and seemingly perfect life. It's a little bit of a downer in retrospect - considering photos can make life seem a little bit better than how it really is.

Clothing is expensive. Shopping is hard. And, it's expensive. It doesn't help when seasons change and people are sporting their newest and cutest clothing. So, what's a fashionista to do? Simple! Create the cutest outfits from your own closet, and incorporate them into the outfits you see online.

But HOW?

It's easy. Your closet has so many options right at your fingertips - it's almost hard NOT to be able to create a new and cute outfit. It takes some time and practice but you will eventually develop the habit of looking at items that will refresh your closet in the long run.

What happens if you truly don't have a piece that will compliment the outfit that you're so dying to create? Check out online! Some of the best and most affordable pieces are from Forever 21, H&M, Fashion Nova (an online boutique known for their comfiest jeans and affordable prices), and even Target! Target has really stepped up their game.

So, let's say you want to make this outfit:

Let's start by talking alternatives...

What if you just truly don't have any of these pieces and you have a little bit of extra cash flow? Well, let's scour the internet for good, alternative and affordable items.

Piece #1: The Turtleneck

Immediately I was drawn to Forever 21. They are known to have the cutest sweaters at a reasonable prices.

This turtleneck is only $22.90. It can be worn throughout the season and it is a fashionable piece that will never die off.

Piece #2: The Jacket

This was a little bit of a difficult item to successfully dupe...

Jackets are a great item to not only invest in, but to always have stock of - especially if you live up North. I was able to locate this piece on Amazon (they have cute and affordable pieces if you look!). It's faux leather (yay for cruelty free!) and on sale for almost 50% off! It would look so cute layered over the white turtleneck.

Piece #3: Jeans

I mentioned Fashion Nova previously, so let's have a look on there for a nice pair of blue jeans.

When I clicked onto the website, this ad popped up for 15% off! Something to keep in mind when shopping on this website.

I found these jeans. They have no holes, they are all one wash (no acid wash running through). They are high wasted - but keep in mind (!) you don't have to wear a cropped shirt with high wasted jeans (!) if anything, they tend to hide the "unflattering" parts that most people are trying to hide!
