I hate the word "Trendy". I absolutely hate it.

A little ironic because this is a fashion blog, but it's TRUE! I hate the word!

Trends are constantly changing, and if you're looking for top five "trendiest" items to add to your collection this season...

You're looking in the wrong spot.

I'm all about the three C's: Cute, Casual and COMFORTABLE

I find myself looking and purchasing these items more now that it's quickly dropping below freezing. Some of the best items you can purchase this season are:

1. Gloves - $13

I'm never one for gloves but I find these super cute! The place I located them is called "CC Beanie". This places sells hats, gloves, scarves, boot socks... all the accessories you could ever need, all for a reasonable price! Gloves are arguably one of the better purchases you could make during the winter season. There is nothing more annoying than freezing fingers!

2. NorthFace Women's Venture 2 Rain Jacket - $99 - $119

Keep in mind... you don't have to spend $100+ on a rain jacket! I own one of these and they're amazing. I have never had an issue with NorthFace and the quality is superb. There are plenty of other places to purchase a rain jacket, though! I find that a rain jacket is an important staple because they are light, easy to pack, easy to layer, and they're obviously water repellent! If you're going to be spending a lot of time outside, this would be a great option. Although I wouldn't recommend purchasing one if you're going to spend a lot of time outside in below freezing weather - skip the rain coat and purchase something heavier!

3. Blanket Scarves! - Prices Vary - Dependent upon place

I cannot say enough good things about blanket scarves. I live in these things! They're so easy to layer and they dress up any outfit regardless of what you're wearing. So comfortable, super chic. They can be a bit on the pricey side but honestly I think they're worth every penny. Will this get you through a winter tundra? Absolutely not. But, they're super cute and will get you through walking back and forth to your car!

4. Sorel Caribou Boots - $150

These things made my wallet cry. Not even joking. I bought them because I was going on a trip to Leavenworth and I realized I struggled all the time by not having a good pair of winter boots. But once I did purchase them, I had absolutely no regrets. They are amazing and worth it. They are the kind of boots that will last me at least ten to fifteen years - if not longer. I will continue to purchase Sorel's because that's how good of quality they are - even if it hurts.

5. Winter Leggings - Prices Vary

So this was a purchase I was even skeptical on. I thought mine were going to be outrageously hot and I would end up throwing these in the trash. Boy was I wrong! They're amazing. It feels like I'm wearing pajama pants all day long. They're so warm and when I walk to my car I don't become instantly freezing. And who else hates to wear pants?! Because I know I do!

Enjoy shopping!
